Overview

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcoming visitors to the site and processing their admission/retail or catering purchase in a friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable manner.
• Providing exceptional service to visitors with special needs.
• Assisting international visitors with their specific needs.
• Managing large groups efficiently.
• Answering queries about the site and local area.
• Performing housekeeping duties, including visual merchandising.
• Supporting the daily operations of the retail offer.
• Providing information about the site, its history, and merchandise.
• Promoting the National Trust for Scotland brand, including Membership schemes and events.

Operational Standards:

• Maintaining excellent site and personal presentation.
• Conducting general cleaning of all areas and ensuring readiness for visitors.
• Wearing correct uniforms and reporting damage promptly.
• Collaborating with housekeeping and maintenance staff.

Financial Responsibilities:

• Adhering to financial procedures and safeguarding of monies.
• Actively upselling products and services to enhance visitor experience.

Health and Safety:

• Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation.
• Securing the site at the end of the day.
• Using personal protective equipment as required.
