Reception Centre Worker - Oak Manor

Posted:Kent County Council’s Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking (UAS) Children’s Service provides accommodation and support to newly arrived UAS children in Kent. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Service’s Reception Centre team, which focuses on delivering safe care to children.
Oak Manor, located in a rural setting, provides supported accommodation for UAS children aged 16-17 years, with a capacity of up to 34 children. The centre offers a peaceful atmosphere and views of green spaces, allowing young people to access a variety of activities and services in the local community.
Role Responsibilities
The role involves:
- Managing routines and setting goals for young people
- Facilitating a learning culture in the centre
- Providing support in a residential setting
Reception Centre Workers will have experience with UAS children and be passionate about helping them during their early stages in the UK. This position requires working across a rolling shift pattern with regular weekend cover.
