Road Worker

Overview

Swansea Council is looking to employ a Road Worker within the Public Lighting section of the Highways Service. You will be responsible for carrying out road works in association with the Authorities Public Lighting assets.

Job Responsibilities

• Work in all weather conditions across various highway locations.
• Conduct maintenance repairs and installations of public lighting assets.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Highways Public lighting works and associated road works.
• Carry out tasks independently and efficiently.
• Perform duties in compliance with safety regulations and standards.

Requirements

• Significant relevant experience in road works.
• Appropriate accreditations to semi-skilled level in areas such as tarmacking, trenching, pothole repair, and traffic management.
• Ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from £25,979 to £28,770 per year. This role is a permanent position working 37 hours a week.
