Ministry of Justice have an exciting opportunity to lead a team of Case Administrators in Ministry of Justice's London Service Centre based in Norwich.

Overview of the Job

This is a co-ordination and senior administrative role in the Divisional office, Function / Cluster local offices. The jobholder will provide corporate support office-based activities to support the work of the Divisional and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of business administration systems, databases and recording systems to support operational probation delivery.
  • Preparation and collation of documentation for effective divisional, functional or cluster business activity.
  • Maintenance of Divisional, functional or cluster Registers, including Serious Further Offences and Freedom of Information.
  • Act as Vetting Contact Point and assist with Purchase Orders.
  • Attend meetings and represent the Business Manager as agreed.

Health, Safety & Fire Responsibilities

  • Timely reporting of repairs, defects, and security issues to facilities contractors.
  • Coordinate health and safety risk assessments, fire drills, and ergonomic assessments.
  • Act as Cardinus Assessor, First Aider, and Fire Warden.

Staff Management

Provide effective management and leadership to the team, managing development, performance, and attendance issues.

Communication

Write reports and participate in meetings to support the effective operation of the Division/Cluster/Function.

Performance Management

Manage resources and take responsibility for professional development. Liaise with staff to collect and analyze information for decision-making.

Data Security

Ensure maintenance, security, and confidentiality of written and electronically stored material, in compliance with the Data Protection Act.

Pro-Social Modelling

Consistently reinforce pro-social behaviour and challenge anti-social behaviour.
