Overview

About The Role

Working with a variety of stakeholders, you will transform services and deliver positive outcomes for Newham’s Autistic residents and those with Learning Disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Representing the Council in respect of Autism and Learning Disabilities in all aspects of health, social care, and wellbeing.
  • Overseeing the refresh and delivery of the Adults Learning Disability Action Plan.
  • Leading the transformation of Supported Accommodation for Autistic residents and those with Learning Disabilities.
  • Supporting residents transitioning from child to adulthood.

About You

You will have:

  • In-depth knowledge of working with Autistic people and those with Learning Disabilities.
  • Experience in the commissioning cycle.
  • A track record of delivering resident outcomes through managing staff, budgets, and services.
  • Strong organizational skills and political awareness.
