As a Second Chef, you will be:

• Supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
• Maintaining proper food storage and stock rotation.
• Preparing meals to high standards, accommodating dietary requirements.
• Serving food and beverages professionally.
• Preparing foods for conferences and banquets.
• Participating in food costings and effective cost control.
• Adhering to food safety standards and record keeping.
• Taking full responsibility for catering operations during shifts.
• Assisting in menu planning and ensuring high-quality meals.
• Filing all relevant paperwork related to HACCP.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• To be 18 years or older.
• GCSE or equivalent in English.
• City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 (or equivalent) in Basic Food Preparation Cooking.
• Basic Food Hygiene (essential).
• Intermediate Food Hygiene (desirable).
• Experience in a similar environment.
• Experience in delivering service on a mass scale.
• Menu planning, costing, ordering, and budget experience.
