Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced registered nurse to join the senior nursing team in the Maxillofacial Outpatient Department at Queens Medical Centre. Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts is looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated individual who values inclusivity and leads by example.

The maxillofacial outpatient department is a large department meeting the needs of Cancer, restorative, orthodontic, and minor oral surgery patients.

Main Duties of the Job

  • 7 day a week responsibility for the running and oversight of the maxillofacial department, its patients, and its team members.
  • Professional development of individual team members.
  • Upholding of the highest standards of quality care for Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts's patients.

Training & Qualifications

  • Current level 1 NMC registration
  • Degree in Healthcare/Nursing related studies
  • Formal leadership training
  • Mentor/teaching qualification

Experience

  • Significant post-registration experience to include management/leadership
  • Ability to lead change & new ways of working
  • Evidence of audit/research
  • Budget Management
  • Evidence of supervising students/staff

Communication & Relationship Skills

  • Able to present & receive complex information
  • Demonstrate negotiation & influencing skills with the ability to deal with conflict
