Overview
This award-winning stunning hotel is looking for an exceptional and accomplished Sous Chef to join and help lead the kitchen team. As Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in running the kitchen, enabling the team to achieve the highest levels of food quality, standards, and service at all times - and a 4 Day Week!
Main Duties
- Act as a deputy with all responsibilities as required.
- Run an environment that is clean, tidy, and organized at all times.
- Plan the day-to-day running of all sections of the kitchen effectively to meet service standards.
- Control operating costs within agreed budgets set and order appropriate levels of food.
- Assist and produce accurate stock takes.
- Carry out quality checks on stock, produce, and dishes.
- Manage rotas in accordance with business levels.
- Ensure daily food preparation meets recipe and specification index.
- Attend all relevant meetings and ensure understanding of the business throughout the hotel.
Requirements
- Previous experience within a similar role and environment.
- Relevant qualifications such as City & Guild 7061/7062 or NVQ Level 2/3.
- Hands-on team player.
- Experience in training and coaching a team.

All applicants must have a stable CV with excellent traceable references. The ideal candidate should be experienced in fresh produce and possess NVQ Level 1 and 2 or equivalent, along with a hygiene certificate. You must either be working in or a resident in the United Kingdom to apply for this position.
