SSD/EDD Production Manager

Overview

East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and highly organized Sterile Services Production Manager to lead East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust's sterile processing team.

Job Responsibilities

In this critical role, you will oversee the daily operations of the sterile services department, ensuring the efficient and timely processing of surgical instruments and medical equipment. Your leadership will ensure that East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust's facility meets the highest standards of sterilization and patient safety.

Key Duties:

• Ensure all aspects of production are compliant with current regulations and legislation.
• Provide day-to-day operational management of the service delivery under the guidance of the Sterile Services Manager.
• Adhere to responsibilities as recommended in HTM01 & HTM 06 guidance.
• Support the Sterile Services Manager in maintaining records for the SSD Quality Management System in line with required UK MDR and ISO 13485 accreditation.

Skills and Experience Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following:

• Proven experience in a managerial position within a sterile services or healthcare environment.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• In-depth knowledge of current regulations and standards related to sterilization and quality management.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing service needs.
