Barking and Dagenham has exciting opportunities for a number of Band 6 Health Visitors. NELFT NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit motivated practitioners with initiative and drive who are keen to contribute to the further development of NELFT NHS Foundation Trust's service.
About the Role
As a Health Visitor, you will work in close collaboration with Children’s Centres and other agencies to improve outcomes and reduce health inequalities for children, young people, and their families.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality health visitor services to families.
- Work autonomously as part of an integrated skill mix team.
- Facilitate and support change in service delivery.
Training and Development
NELFT NHS Foundation Trust offer a comprehensive Preceptorship Programme for newly qualified practitioners, alongside a wide range of training opportunities through NELFT NHS Foundation Trust's learning and development department.
Induction and Support
All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory training and systems training.
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from this period unless currently partway through probation.
Financial Benefits
This position includes:
- High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (pro rata for part-time).
- Welcome Payment of 10% of agreed basic salary, subject to a minimum of £4,000 and maximum of £10,000.
