The Intelligence and Investigations (I&I) team is part of Financial Crime Team within Compliance. As a Strategic Intelligence VP, you will have responsibility for leading the identification and assessment of new and emerging threats against the Bank and the development, investigation and dissemination of intelligence related to these threats. There will also be a requirement to use and apply large data sets for both strategic and operational intelligence management and investigation activities.
To be successful as a Strategic Intelligence VP, you should have experience with:
- Proven technical expertise in the field of complex and high-risk financial crime investigations and intelligence development and dissemination.
- Proven/demonstrable research and analytical expertise in areas such as data analysis, intelligence or investigations.
- Validating the credibility and reliability of sources and information.
- Working with external partners such as law enforcement.
- Leading and defining data strategies with preferable data science and coding skills.
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
Purpose of the role:
To verify the accuracy, reliability, and soundness of the bank's analytical models by independently validating and assuring the quality of models.
Accountabilities:
- Development and implementation of validation plans for new and existing models.
- Preparation of model documentation that clearly explains the model's methodology, assumptions, limitations, and risks.
- Development and implementation of ongoing monitoring frameworks to ensure continued model accuracy and effectiveness, ensuring appropriate controls and governance in place.
- Analysis and assessment of the model's accuracy, performance, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Performing back testing and stress testing to assess model robustness under different conditions.
Vice President Expectations:
- Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment.
- Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
- Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
