Overview

Job Description: Swimming Instructor (fixed term contract-tuesday-wednesday afternoons until mid December)

Reports to: Swimming Pool Manager

Purple Dragon is a luxury private members club, providing effortless family time for families with children up to twelve years of age. Purple Dragon Play's Swimming Instructor is responsible for ensuring that members and their guests enjoy all of the great Pool activities and classes.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• To support the Club’s vision of becoming the World’s Best Private Members Club for Families.
• To work together with the Swimming Pool Manager and ensure that the Swimming Pool operates in line with Health & Safety guidelines.
• To assist with the implementation of the Quarterly Swimming activities.
• To teach swimming classes following the Purple Dragon Swimming curriculum.
• To assist with the organisation and execution of swimming competitions and lessons.
• To undertake other duties as the Management of the Club might reasonably expect appropriate to the job grade.

Job Specification

Purple Dragon Play is looking for someone to teach Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 2-7PM until the 14th of December.

Qualifications & skills required:

• Minimum 1 year of work experience as a Swimming Instructor.
• Experience with babies and toddlers.
• STA level 2.
• Practical knowledge of maintaining Health & Safety standards.
• Clear Enhanced DBS.

Experience:

• Teaching swimming: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• STA level 2 or ASA level 2 Certificate (preferred)
