A specialist provision based in Camden is looking for a Special Needs Student Care Worker to support students with complex medical needs and Physical Disabilities.
The Role
In this role, you will be supporting students aged 16-25 who have progressed from SEND Secondary schools across Camden. All students require continuous support throughout the day, and you will collaborate with Learning Support Assistants to assist in their feeding and changing. Students have a range of needs, including PMLD, SLD, Autism, and behavioral needs.
The Centre
This specialist centre, part of a larger post-16 London college, currently provides education and care support to around 50 young people with profound and multiple or severe learning difficulties, complex autism, and/or physical difficulties. With a dedicated and experienced management and staff team, the centre offers excellent training and development programmes. It operates during term-time only and is easily accessible via public transport.
The Centre welcomes applications from both experienced learning support assistants/support workers and those with a positive and caring attitude looking to pursue a career supporting young people in Special Educational Needs.
