Overview

Do you get a kick out of helping people? The Random House Group Limited’re looking for an International Sales Operations Coordinator who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys variety in their job, to join the team on an 18-month Fixed Term basis.

The opportunity: Sales Operations are involved in supporting the entire sales process from new title sell-in preparation to sales performance analysis. This means working closely with internal and external stakeholders, helping to ensure that orders reach customers at the right place, the right price, and at the right time.

In this exciting role, you’ll be responsible for helping to ensure the smooth-running of the International Sales Operations team. You’ll work across all The Random House Group Limited's publishing lists – everything from fiction to non-fiction, by way of cookery, poetry, and children’s – playing a key part in getting The Random House Group Limited's stories into The Random House Group Limited's customers’ hands. Tasks can vary from ensuring an order reaches Brazil in time for an event, to exploring supply options with The Random House Group Limited's global PRH Group companies.

Primarily, responsibilities will include:

  • Managing orders from The Random House Group Limited's retail customers across the world
  • Checking data such as stock availability and delivery dates
  • Collaborating with colleagues in different departments, particularly Rights and Customer Services, to help deliver the best possible service to The Random House Group Limited's customers
  • Managing the process of orders in SAP (one of The Random House Group Limited's internal systems) whilst ensuring work is complete within deadlines and publication schedules
  • Producing reports in Excel and checking customer claims
  • Carrying out other ad hoc team support when required.

What you’ll bring: To succeed in the Coordinator role, you’ll need to be organised, proactive, and have great time management skills. You’ll be working with customers as well as a range of colleagues in this role, so being a clear communicator and being friendly and helpful will mean that you’re able to go the extra mile. The Random House Group Limited’re also looking for someone who is attentive to detail and able to balance urgent priorities alongside regular tasks. Being able to successfully manage deadlines will be key.

You will need to have worked with MS Office before; strong Excel skills are desirable for this role.

Minimum criteria:

  • Demonstratable interest in Sales Operations
  • Proven written ability showcased through your application
  • Experience/Knowledge of MS Office Excel/Word/Outlook
  • Demonstrable understanding of managing multiple stakeholders at varying seniorities
  • Demonstrable communication skills

  • Wellbeing - healthcare cash plan, employee assistance, gym loan
  • Lifestyle – taste card, tech scheme, free and discounted books

Hybrid working: The Random House Group Limited’re experimenting with a hybrid way of working that suits the needs of each team. While The Random House Group Limited's offices across the UK are places to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, The Random House Group Limited recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important.
