Support Officer - Engaging Young People

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Younger Persons Support Officer to join Connexus's team at Bath Street Hereford. Connexus is looking for a positive and engaging support officer to deliver high-quality support outcomes with the use of SMART support plans to enable and prepare young people for successful transitions into independence.

A significant aspect of this role involves engagement with young people. You will need to build strong working relationships and focus on youth engagement through planning and running regular resident meetings and workshops, emphasizing youth voice, culture, and diversity.

You should be confident when dealing with outside agencies to aid the growth of the service by developing new links and partnerships within the local community, particularly focused on training, employment, and work-based activities.

Responsibilities include:

• Engaging young people and facilitating their development.
• Running workshops and meetings to promote youth involvement.
• Collaborating with external agencies for community support.
• Implementing SMART support plans for effective outcomes.

The hours are based on a 7-day rota with shifts from 9 AM to 5 PM, 11 AM to 7 PM, or 2 PM to 10 PM.
