Hove Learning Federation, comprising West Hove Infant School and Hove Junior School, seeks to appoint an inspirational and highly motivated SENDCo. Located at Brighton & Hove City Council's Portland Road site, a 4-form popular and inclusive Junior school, the SENDCo plays a crucial role within Brighton & Hove City Council's school as part of the Federation Inclusion Team.
About the Role
The SENDCo will work under the leadership of Brighton & Hove City Council's Inclusion Manager, bringing excellent leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of SEND processes and provisions necessary for children with SEND. The post holder will serve as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, responsible for disseminating good practices and training to all staff across the school, while flexibly meeting the needs of the whole Federation. Close collaboration with families, children, and external agencies is essential.

Employment under the Federated Board includes all locations/sites where both schools operate. Under this contract, you may be asked to work across different locations under the Federated Board, either temporarily or permanently.
