Senior Policy Specialist – TikTok LIVE

Overview

Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine livestream policies: Draft clear, concise, and effective policies and procedures for TikTok LIVE, considering the needs of users, creators, and the TikTok brand.
• Maintain policy documentation: Ensure all livestream policies are up-to-date and easily accessible to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Conduct policy research and analysis: Stay informed about industry best practices, legal and regulatory developments, and emerging trends in livestreaming and online content moderation.
• Analyze data to identify risks: Utilize data analysis skills to proactively identify and mitigate potential content risks associated with TikTok LIVE.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with teams such as Legal, Product, and Operations to ensure alignment and effective policy implementation.
• Monitor policy effectiveness: Track key performance indicators and gather feedback to evaluate the impact of LIVE policies and make recommendations for improvement.
• Support policy training and implementation: Collaborate with training teams to develop and deliver effective training materials for content reviewers on livestream policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or above, with more than 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Sensitivity to content and culture, familiarity with the political and cultural environment, and a solid understanding of Internet development and regulatory trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information and ideas to diverse audiences.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking: Ability to identify policy challenges and develop creative and practical solutions. Ability to produce accurate and well-organized work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent cross-team communication and coordination abilities, with strong project management skills.
• Passion for the Livestream industry, familiarity with industry norms, and high sensitivity to global hot events.
