Senior Pharmacy Technician - Patient Services

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a rotational Pharmacy Technician to join the pharmacy team at Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals. This role is based at Royal Brompton Hospital within Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust's established and well-resourced pharmacy department. Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a committed, highly motivated, and enthusiastic individual who will contribute to Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust's ongoing success. You will work as part of a friendly and supportive team of pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacists.

Main Duties of the Job

• Delivering the daily workload in Patient Services
• Assisting to manage the daily workload for Patient Services
• Assisting in the training and development of junior staff
• Working in the dispensary as an accredited checking pharmacy technician (ACPT)

Qualifications and Experience

You will have:

• Registration with the GPHC or soon to register
• Experience in relevant hospital pharmacy work
• Hold the ACPT qualification
• Hold the Educational Supervisor qualification or be willing to undertake

Skills and Personal Qualities

• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Evidence of effective team working
• Experience in counselling patients
• Motivated with a "can do" attitude
