Core Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language therapy services to children, directly and through support to their families and the multi-disciplinary team.
• Conduct speech, language and communication assessments for children and young people in consultation with families, the multi-disciplinary team, and other SLTs and SLTAs.
• Maintain accurate records and provide written reports.
• Hold responsibility for own caseload and manage a defined area of the service, working without direct supervision.
• Collaborate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to plan, develop, and deliver effective and efficient services.
• Liaise with other involved agencies and families to provide integrated services.
• Contribute to SLT student placements and support the induction and supervision of junior SLTs, SLTAs, and volunteers.
• Facilitate clinical case discussions and access clinical supervision within the team through regular meetings, group and individual supervision, mentoring, and appraisals.
• Commit to continuing professional development.
• Make independent decisions about caseload management, service design, and manage projects independently.
• Contribute to the evaluation and monitoring of services.
