Description

Diversity matters: Lush is building a brand that represents the people of the world. It’s what you do that counts, and Lush is always looking to expand perspectives and voices to shape Lush's future. Lush see you, Lush celebrate you, Lush want you!

Who Lush is: You might know Lush as the inventors of the bath bomb, but there’s more to this great-smelling, partly employee-owned, family-run company than pioneering cosmetics. Lush believe Lush's business should put more back into the world than it takes and demonstrate that capitalism can be a force for good. The Living Wage Foundation’s statement 'a hard day's work deserves a fair day's pay' is one that Lush is proud to commit to in the UK. As an accredited Living Wage employer, Lush put Lush's people first and fight cruel practices like animal testing, promote regeneration, and show that it is what’s inside that counts - whether that’s an ingredient in a product, or the minerals in a smartphone.

The role: Seasonal Delivery Assistants work at the beginning of Lush's business day - ensuring Lush's product displays are fresh and full, and that Lush is maintaining Lush's visual merchandising and cleanliness standards. Lush need you to be passionate, motivated and enthusiastic about showcasing Lush's beautiful products. You need to be an excellent team player who is ready to hit the ground running to ensure Lush's stock levels are maintained during Lush's busiest time of the year.

All hours will be between 6am and 10am - as such, you won't be on the shop floor when Lush's store is open to customers. Your paid training will be focused on:

  • Processing deliveries
  • Keeping an eye on stock rotation to reduce waste management
  • Visual merchandising

Key Information:

Hours & Availability: Deliveries are Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. Delivery Assistants will work two or three shifts per week - meaning contracts will be between 8 and 12 hours per week. Overtime may be possible for ad-hoc deliveries, but it is not a requirement for you to be able to fulfil that.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing deliveries
  • Maintaining visual merchandising and cleanliness standards
  • Adherence to Lush's freshness policy and stock rotation
  • Upkeep of shop floor stock levels before Lush's store opens
  • Waste management
  • Stocktake (30th December 2024)
  • Maintaining high levels of organisation in the stockroom and back of house areas

Skills and Experience:

Teamwork: Capable of collaborating with team members to achieve store goals, and maintaining a positive and supportive work environment.

Communication: Strong and adaptive verbal communication skills to engage with peers, and organise yourself.

Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, handle challenging situations, and work effectively under pressure.

Problem-solving: Skill in identifying and resolving any stock issues, finding appropriate solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Organisation: Aptitude for maintaining an organised store environment, managing inventory, and creating visually appealing product displays.

Nice to have but training will be provided: Ethical and Sustainable Mindset: Understanding and alignment with Lush's commitment to ethical sourcing, sustainability, and cruelty-free practices.
