The ED team at Royal Blackburn Hospital are looking to recruit a Band 7 Senior Sister / Charge Nurse. Main Duties of the Job

• Demonstrate strong leadership with extensive Accident and Emergency experience.
• Organise staff according to competence and equipment for effective work completion.
• Supervise the delivery of quality nursing care.
• Praise and correct team members as appropriate, involved in personal development of the workforce.
• Report on levels of nursing care quality to nurse management.
• Coordinate care given by nurses, medical staff, and other professionals.
• Handle complaints in accordance with Trust Policies.
• Maintain discipline for the delivery of quality nursing care.
• Responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of staff, patients, and visitors.

Qualifications

Essential

• Registered 1st level nurse.
• Proven continuing education, Degree or working towards.

Desirable

• Professional development to a relevant degree level.
• Teaching certificate.
