About the Role

The Site Supervisor will be responsible for managing all screening personnel, providing supervision to screening services in various areas on an on-demand basis, and addressing day-to-day operational issues impacting the contract throughout their shift. This role is key to the operational success of the team and strengthens the relationship between the client and Securitas by offering a single point of operational supervision on a 24/7 basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all personnel under their supervision have undertaken the appropriate site training and possess a valid SIA license.
  • Accurate rostering and forward planning of all direct reporting officers ensuring sufficient cover for holidays, sickness, and absences.
  • Proactively monitor performance by speaking to all Screening Officers at least once a month, maintaining positive employee relations.
  • Monitor and manage the appearance and behaviours of all Security personnel, taking remedial action as appropriate.
  • Encourage staff recognition and nominations for awards.
  • Keep assignment instructions and site documentation up to date.
  • Report all incidents in compliance with customer and company policies.
  • Assist the Security Management Team in sharing best practices and using systems to improve service effectiveness.
  • Plan, develop, and implement staff training, including routine duties and emergency procedures.
  • Monitor faults with security-related equipment and ensure proper reporting.
  • Be conversant with operational functions including Access Control, CCTV, Detection and Alarm Systems.
  • Participate in any arranged company training to improve performance standards.
  • Act as the first point of contact during shifts for security-related queries.
  • Assist the Service Delivery Manager with any reasonable requests.

Essential Skills

  • SIA Licence
  • SC Clearance
  • Right to work in the UK with a five-year checkable history
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a Security Supervisor role
  • Data centre background
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to embody Securitas's values of Integrity, Helpfulness, and Vigilance
