People Plus Group LTD have an exciting opportunity to support a man with a learning disability in his own home in Huntingdon. About You
People Plus Group LTD is looking for someone who is enthusiastic about providing high quality care and helping someone live their life happily. Experience of working in care is not essential, but you should be passionate and willing to learn. You will need to be able to push a wheelchair, as well as perform moving and handling tasks and administer medication as part of this role.
About the Role
You will be supporting a lovely man in his own home, requiring full support with all aspects of his day including:
- Dressing
- Showering
- Personal care
- Eating and drinking
He enjoys a laid-back lifestyle, watching TV, going to coffee shops, and enjoying gentle strolls in local parks.
Hours and Rates of Pay
- £13.50 hourly rate
- Enhanced hourly rate for bank holidays
- £80 sleep-in (10.30pm-07.30am)
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro-rata)
An Enhanced DBS is essential for this role. This is to check for any previous criminal records. All relevant training will be provided, which may include hoist safety, medication administering, or food hygiene training as needed.
