Sunderland City Council is seeking a committed, flexible, and highly motivated individual to join Sunderland City Council's team as a Teaching Assistant L2 (SEND Support). This is a part-time role, working 20 hours per week from 8:30am to 12:30pm during term time only, plus INSET Days. This position is linked to EHCP funding, meaning that the contract will be terminated if the funding ends due to changes in the children's circumstances.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support in the delivery of teaching and learning with a specific focus on SEND needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the educational experience of children.
- Engage in the corporate life of the school, supporting both the formal and informal curriculum.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate should have:
- A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Specific experience in supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), including 1:1 and small group support.
- Excellent communication skills.
Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this position is between £20,001.00 and £30,000.00 per year, with additional salary information of £23,500 - £23,893.
