About Ogilvie School Campus

Ogilvie School Campus caters to children with additional support needs arising from complex difficulties, sensory impairments, physical disabilities, and Autism spectrum disorder. The school serves the entire West Lothian Council catchment area and has been growing steadily, now offering a full Primary and Secondary education.

Staff and Community Support

The school is staffed by a Head Teacher, approximately 20 teaching staff, 40 Advanced Pupil Support Workers, and 2 Office staff, serving around 100 children. West Lothian Council collaborate closely with health professionals, including school nurses, community pediatricians, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and the Children and Mental Health team.

There is a positive ethos throughout the school, with staff, parents, and partners working together to provide the best possible care for West Lothian Council's children.

Qualifications and Requirements

A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland are essential for this position. This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment, with the cost borne by the candidate.

The fee for a Full PVG Scheme Membership is £59 or £18 for Existing Members.
