Vision for Education is looking to appoint a part-time Teaching Assistant to join Vision for Education's successful supply team and work in a primary school in Hartlepool.
This is a long-term supply contract role, focusing on supporting Year 1 and Year 2 children. The role will commence from November 2024 following the half-term until May 2025, and may lead to a permanent position.
The Role
As part of a passionate teaching team, the desired Teaching Assistant will provide high-standard support to both the children and the class teacher. Responsibilities include:
- Identifying children who may require extra support
- Adapting to changing environments
Working Hours
This is a full-time position working in a mixed Year 1-2 class from 8:30 AM until 3:30 PM, five days per week.

Requirements
To be considered for the Teaching Assistant position, you will need to:
- Hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching & learning in schools
- Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment
- Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment
- Have a genuine desire to join a committed team of school staff
- Have experience supporting children in primary education in KS1
