Overview

Capita have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Digital Consultant to join Capita's team! You will work under the guidance of a senior team member, fulfilling various tasks ranging from learning the codebase, attending design meetings, writing basic code, fixing bugs, and documenting the information to feed into the knowledge process. This is a home-based role.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Designing and developing digital solutions as part of an incubate function to produce a full end-to-end production solution and deliver into BAU functions.
  • Primary focus on Quadient products such as Interactive, Scaler, and PDF on demand, to create a suite of digital focused products and services.
  • Hands-on initially leveraging your own capability, other internal resources, and suppliers’ professional services to create MVP and drive this capability to create a mature marketable solution.
  • Learning the codebase and improving coding skills, writing codes, and debugging.
  • Performing unit tests, documenting tasks as required, amending and refactoring simple programs/scripts, applying agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result.

What Capita're Looking For:

  • Good programming skills in at least one computer language.
  • Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude.
  • Good communicator and listener.
  • Able to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Logical thinking skills.
  • Apply a high level of accuracy to all work.
  • Previous experience with Quadient Inspire products is a benefit but not required.
