Leeds City College is seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational English Teacher to join the School of Engineering and Manufacturing at Luminate Education Group's Printworks Campus. In this role, you will plan and deliver inspiring GCSE lessons to Luminate Education Group's students, contributing to a collaborative environment focused on achieving the best outcomes for learners.
What You Will Do
- Plan, prepare and develop schemes of learning, teaching resources, and effective lessons.
- Deliver and assess essential knowledge and understanding to learners.
- Create individual SMART learning targets linked to the course.
- Be responsible for assessing, tracking, and recording student progress.
- Maintain and update knowledge of the subject and exam specifications.
- Stay current with educational research to develop evidence-based practices.
- Motivate and inspire students to achieve targets and develop their skills for progression.
- Carry out regular internal verification/moderation.
About You
- Must possess a Level 5 Teaching Qualification (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE) and a relevant vocational qualification or degree in the teaching subject.
- Passionate and enthusiastic educator with experience teaching GCSE English to students at various levels within the secondary or FE sector.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to plan engaging and differentiated learning materials are essential.
- Ability to track and monitor progress to ensure learners reach their full potential.
- Willingness to go the extra mile to ensure students enjoy their learning experience and are fully prepared for their assessments.
