Team Leader - Picking and Despatch

Overview

Leader Online is seeking a dedicated Team Leader to manage daily and weekly picking operations. This role ensures customer orders are picked accurately, safely, and loaded according to dispatch plans. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, focus on accuracy, and commitment to timely deliveries.

Responsibilities

Picking Plan Execution:

• Own the daily and weekly picking plan, ensuring the team is well-resourced.
• Oversee the picking process, ensuring orders are picked and marshalled accurately.

Load Assembly Management:

• Aggregate pick plans from team leaders to ensure accurate assembly of loads.
• Oversee loading of goods onto vehicles, ensuring documentation is compliant.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and develop the picking team for high productivity and accuracy.
• Monitor performance and provide training as necessary.

Health & Safety Compliance:

• Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety checks and train team members in safe practices.

Process Improvement:

• Seek opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the picking process.
• Collaborate with team leaders and the operations manager for seamless operations.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Picking Accuracy: Orders picked accurately and on time.
• Order Fulfilment: Orders fulfilled on time in full (OTIF).
• Labelling Accuracy: Correctness of labels and marshalled items.
• Load Assembly Accuracy: Completeness of loads for dispatch.
• On-Time Dispatch: Loads dispatched on time.
• Vehicle Loading Efficiency: Time and accuracy in loading vehicles.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Number of incidents and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in warehouse operations with a focus on accuracy.
• Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with warehouse safety regulations.
• Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.
