Southern Co-op is recruiting for a Team Leader to join Southern Coop's thriving retail store. Southern Coop's stores are more than just a place to pick up groceries; they’re the heart of the community. As a Team Leader, you’ll support the Store Manager in motivating, engaging, leading, and developing a team of colleagues.

What Southern Coop’re looking for

Southern Coop is looking for a candidate who can encourage and drive the team forward, promote Southern Coop's values, and provide an excellent experience. Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided. Key qualities include being self-motivated, having excellent communication and organizational skills, and being a great team player with a positive attitude. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Participate in all aspects of store operations including Post Office, Parcel Services, Local Suppliers, Neighbourly Programme, Too Good To Go, and Home Delivery Services.
• Engage with and support the local community.
• Support the operational management of the store to ensure a safe and high-performing business, taking overall responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Be a role model and lead the team to provide exceptional customer experiences.
• Hold a personal license to sell alcohol, or complete the required training to obtain this license.
• Ensure continued and sustainable growth by leading and developing people.

Working hours

This is a part-time role requiring 18 hours per week, worked across 2 days. Flexibility with working hours is essential, covering mornings, evenings, and weekends.
