We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Social Work qualified practitioner to join us as a Team Managers in Children's Social Care. This is a really exciting time to join Cambridgeshire’s Children’s Service. You will be well supported by your colleagues and managers and will be part of the exciting changes currently happening in children’s social care.
As the Team Manager, you will play an important role in delivering a needs-led professional service, ensuring that vulnerable children and young people benefit from the best possible outcomes in relation to safeguarding and protection. Due to the nature of this role, and the commitment of the Local Authority towards protecting and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults we will undertake additional recruitment checks which will include a check to see if you have had any criminal convictions, a check of police information and we will check the relevant barred list(s) should you be successful in your application. It is a criminal offence for a barred individual to apply for a job in regulated activity.
We can offer this position in Fenland and Cambridge City.

What will you be doing?
Do you have the passion and commitment to manage, develop and motivate a team, to achieve the best possible outcomes for children? We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership skills and a passion for working with vulnerable families whilst holding systemic theory and practice central to your exemplary Social work.
The applicant will be able to demonstrate that they can think creatively in delivering targeted support, will have a significant level of knowledge and experience in children's social care, understanding thresholds and will have proven experience in managing a team of social work staff. This role will include work allocation, performance monitoring, dealing with staffing issues and the training and development of the Team.
You will have relevant experience working in Children’s Social Care and be familiar with child protection systems and processes, court work and working with children who are looked after. You should also have knowledge of statutory requirements and local procedures.

- Be a qualified Social Worker with a Social Work England registration
- Have the ability to work from a variety of locations and travel countywide independently
