Trainee Machine Setter position available in Greenford, West London with a starting salary of £22,000, rising to £28,000 once fully trained. Taylor Higson’re partnering with a global packaging business looking for a trainee to join their production department.

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Learn how to set, operate, and maintain a variety of print finishing equipment to maximize output.
• Understand and interpret job tickets to set machines accordingly.
• Assist in routine maintenance of folding machines and other finishing equipment.
• Work closely with senior management and engineering teams to ensure minimal downtime.
• Raise IT support tickets or maintenance tasks for any machine issues.
• Resolve minor running issues, such as blockages, and restart the process safely.

Shifts & Benefits

During training, you will work permanent day shifts. After becoming a competent machine setter, you will be expected to follow a traditional continental shift pattern, so flexibility is essential. The starting salary is £22,000, increasing to £28,000 after training, with further increases upon moving to the shift pattern.
