Trainee Property Risk Engineer

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates looking for a career within Risk Management and wish to join the diverse ZRS Property Team.

Successful candidates would ideally have a background in Property Insurance, through Underwriting, Claims, or Risk Engineering. The role is home-based, with travel required to customer sites across the region.

A 3-month training academy will provide foundational training to kickstart your career in Risk Engineering.

This role offers comprehensive training, ongoing support, and the chance to contribute to market-leading risk management solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct desktop and on-site assessments in line with global guidelines.
• Produce bespoke risk assessment and risk improvement reports for stakeholders.
• Manage risk improvement actions for customer accounts.
• Collaborate across Risk Engineering, Claims, and Underwriting.
• Prioritize workload to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in assessing property risks (fire, flood, security).
• Understanding of risk management and loss prevention practices.
• Relevant qualifications (Cert/Dip CII, TIFireE, Risk Management Certification).
• Strong presentation and customer engagement skills.
• Able to build relationships and promote teamwork.
• Commitment to self-development and others’ development.
• Clear and open communication skills.
• Proficient in identifying opportunities for additional revenue.
