Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Play a crucial administrative role in maintaining the legal records that help protect public access to Suffolk County Council's countryside.
- Manage Suffolk County Council's online presence and handle financial processes, monitoring budgets to ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee payments and process landowner deposits, maintaining statutory registers.
- Utilize strong IT skills and attention to detail to manage various tasks effectively.
- Collaborate within a supportive team to shape the future of Suffolk County Council's county's green access network.
You Will Need:
- Demonstrable knowledge and/or experience in a range of office and financial procedures.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent customer service skills with an understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to interpret maps and use digital mapping.
- Capacity to plan and organise your own workload and work flexibly as part of a team.
The Team:
The Rights of Way and Access team manages the county council’s green access network, including 5,700km of public rights of way. Suffolk County Council's ‘Suffolk Green Access Strategy 2020-2030’ outlines Suffolk County Council's main priorities with the vision to enhance the public’s enjoyment of Suffolk’s green access network.
