Job Description:

The Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) role within Thermo Fisher Scientific's Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division is pivotal for supporting Thermo Fisher Scientific's customers' digital transformation journey. This position requires a candidate passionate about helping clients understand how Thermo Fisher Scientific's digital technologies and scientific software can aid in critical work, including vaccine development and environmental protection.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive commercial sales of software within an assigned geographical territory, focusing primarily on the UK and Ireland.
  • Understand customer workflows, digital requirements, and technology strategies.
  • Establish relationships with senior decision makers and generate excitement around Thermo Fisher Scientific's software solutions.
  • Collaborate with account managers and industry specialists to guide a software sales lifecycle.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Scientific or Information Technology field, or meaningful experience.

Experience:

  • Experience in selling scientific software and/or capital equipment in various industries.
  • Some experience in commercial laboratory environments and working with scientific software.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Confident communicator capable of presenting innovative software solutions.
  • Knowledge of analytical technologies such as chromatography and mass spectrometry.
  • Curiosity about modern IT trends and a passion for digital technologies.
  • Able to travel 50% or more of the working time.
