Weekend Collections Driver

Overview

Eurofins Scientific is recruiting for an experienced Collections Driver to work over weekends collecting and delivering food samples from Eurofins Scientific's clients' sites and laboratories. This is a part-time weekend position working Saturday and Sunday from 07:00 - 15:00.

Responsibilities

• Make collections of ambient, chilled, and frozen samples and products from customer premises and other Eurofins offices throughout the UK to a pre-planned regional route in a timely manner using a company vehicle.
• Collect samples from retail customers as per the schedule.
• Swab surfaces and other items as requested.
• Handle customer samples safely and appropriately, ensuring they are stowed correctly within the vehicle.
• Communicate regularly with control throughout the day.
• Complete all paperwork accurately, including recording temperature and time records.
• Return collections to site safely and securely.
• Park the vehicle overnight at the normal place of work unless otherwise agreed.
• Conduct daily and weekly vehicle checks, reporting any defects promptly.
• Promote the Eurofins image by maintaining a clean, neat uniform and vehicle.
• Participate in developmental training as required.
• Drive company vehicles safely and courteously in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Good geographical knowledge of the UK road network.
• Understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
• Customer-focused approach with a pleasant demeanor.
• Effective communication skills.
• Experience of chilled multi-drop collection and deliveries.
• Full UK Driving License.
