Window Cleaning Manager & Driver

Summary

P&P Cleaning is seeking a dedicated Driver & Manager for window cleaning services. Experience is preferred but not essential.

Job Description

The role requires a driver with a clean license who will attend domestic and commercial sites to clean windows and frames using a water-fed pole system. Full training will be provided.

Working Conditions

• Wage: Basic - £12.00 per hour gross for an average 8-hour day
• Working hours: 8 am - 4 pm (not including travel)
• An extra 50p per hour is added to compensate for travel time.
• Pay increases after a 3-month induction period to £14 per hour.

Travel and Job Locations

Work is primarily located in Bolton, with occasional jobs in Bury, Chester, Manchester, Lancaster, Northwich, and Crewe. Most work is local, and commuting to the first job is not compensated. Your pay starts when you begin your first job and ends when you leave your last job.

Contract and Benefits

• Zero-hour contract with holiday pay at 12.07% of all hours worked.
• Potential to work 40 hours a week easily, with more hours available.
• Pension scheme available through NEST.

Responsibilities

• Manage a member of staff, ensuring work is checked and meets quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the company van, which is for work use only.
• Ensure all windows are cleaned to the highest standard and customer satisfaction is met.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.

Expectations

• Every window should be cleaned to the highest standard.
• Always leave the work area tidy and close gates behind.
• Maintain a high standard of courtesy and manners.
• Wear a clean, tidy, and well-presented uniform (uniform and allowance for safe working boots provided).

Additional Responsibilities

The role may also involve clearing guttering using a Space Vac system, and cleaning UPVC and internal windows.

Application Process

The application process includes sending your CV, a telephone interview, a trial day, followed by a 3-month induction period at £12.50 per hour. After successful completion, a permanent job offer with discussion of pay and pension scheme will be provided.
