About this opportunity:
The successful postholder will request, receive, and investigate data related to the waste and recycling activity of Cumberland Council and Westmorland & Furness Councils. There will be a need to work to tight reporting timescales and be the lead on the Waste Disposal Team’s responsibility to ensure that data is analysed, validated, and ultimately agreed.
Working both independently and as part of a small, dedicated team, you will navigate changes in legislation and the evolution of waste services, making participation in planning and analysing the impact of changes a key part of your role.
Who Cumberland Council’re looking for:
This role requires a diligent individual capable of managing fluctuating demands on their time. An eye for detail and competence in working with numbers to identify trends or anomalies is essential. Ideally, candidates should possess accounting experience and qualifications equivalent to AAT level 3 or above.
This is a hybrid role, requiring some work at the Parkhouse Building in Carlisle and occasional in-person meetings in Cumberland or Westmorland & Furness Council areas.
