Warehouse Op / Driver

Overview

Motor Parts Direct is currently looking for a warehouse assistant / interbranch driver to join the team at Motor Parts Direct's Braintree distribution centre on a casual basis (zero hours).

Job Responsibilities

You will assist in the warehouse performing the following duties:

• Checking and putting away deliveries from suppliers.
• Ensuring anomalies with any orders are corrected (contact suppliers etc.).
• Picking parts and loading onto necessary vans.
• Ensure stock takes are completed as per rolling schedule.
• Ensuring paperwork is kept up to date and filed correctly.
• Other general warehouse tasks to maintain a smooth operation.

Driving Responsibilities

When driving, you will be delivering stock from Motor Parts Direct's Braintree distribution hub to surrounding branches (using supplied MPD Van). At each branch stop, you will assist in picking the product to then load onto the delivery van and drop off at the relevant branch.

Requirements

You will need to be physically fit as some lifting of heavy boxes and parts will be necessary. Additionally, you must be able to work in a timely manner and have great attention to detail. A good knowledge of the local road network is essential, and you must hold a full clean UK driving licence.
